Paleo Diet Foods that must be Consumed and Avoided

OBESITY, heart disease, and diabetes, are a series of health problems that can be cured with the paleolytic diet (paleo). As the name implies, the paleo diet is also known as the ancient human diet because it adapts to the eating patterns of ancestors in the paleolithic period.

According to a nutritionist Loren Cordain, to start a paleo diet one has to exercise regularly while applying a strict diet, where food that can be consumed only comes from food collected or hunted.

In its purest form, the paleo diet actually only consumes foods that are consumed by pruba people when they first roamed the planet millions of years ago.

Cordain said, this diet can improve health because it reduces and eliminates foods that contain fat, calories, and those that have little nutritional value.

In simple terms, most of the food consumed by paleo dieters consists of fruits and vegetables that are full of vitamins, minerals, and fiber which are claimed to make the feeling of fullness longer. Thus the food you consume becomes less, so it can help reduce weight.

“You will lose weight because every time you limit food intake, automatically the calorie content that enters the body tends to be lower,” said Lona Sandon, assistant professor of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Sandon added, when you balance this diet by exercising regularly, this activity can help the process of burning calories left in the body.

The main focus is getting lean protein. Because, some types of fruits and seeds have a fairly high calorie content such as nuts. So if you can’t limit the consumption of these foods, your weight will actually increase.
